WCCO Radio, TPT and AARP of MN Partner to Present "Minnesota Speaks."
WCCO Radio, in coordination with Twin Cities Public Television and AARP of Minnesota, is presenting "Minnesota Speaks." This is a two-hour forum for listeners and viewers to voice their opinions and then to allow the U.S. Senate candidates to respond.
This is a historic broadcast because, as far as we know, this is the first time in Minnesota that a private radio station has partnered with public television to create "Minnesota Speaks." Jack pre-taped the forum at Keys Restaurant in St. Paul some days ago with a panel of listeners and viewers. These are some of the behind-the-scenes photos.
The candidates will address issues including Social Security, health care reform, Medicare, long-term care and retirement security.
It will air tonight, September 20, 2006 on TPT, channel 2.
