Tonight on KOGO, Jack Looks at the Drug Wars South of the Border. They are Threatening Us Now!
Jack looks at the drug wars in Mexico that have resulted in more than 6000 dead in 2008 and another 1000 in 2009. Right now, Mexico is more dangerous than either Iraq or Afghanistan. With the AG acknowledging that Mexican Drug Cartels are working in more than 235 cities in the US, it is obvious that this is not just a Mexican problem. But what should the American response be? Are we partly responsible for the violence? After all, the drugs involved are all destined for the U.S. market and the lion's share of the guns used in the violence come from America. Jack will be joined by Sam Quinones of the LA Times about the drug wars and we will also hear from Congressman Duncan Hunter about building the remainder of the fence along the border and how significant this is. Listen in at Kogo Radio in San Diego and at kogo.com. Of course, Jack will then open up the phones and take calls from listeners 1-800-600-5646.
