St. Paul Criminal Defense Attorney Jack Rice Trains Trial Lawyers in Istanbul

St. Paul Criminal Defense Attorney Jack Rice is on an airplane again and is taking his skillset worldwide. This time, he is traveling to Istanbul, Turkey to train lawyers at Bahcesehir University on how to do direct and cross examination.

For Jack, this is a really big deal teaching trial advocacy with the incredible lawyer and person Willow Anderson in Istanbul. There are some really really extraordinary international trial lawyers and law students here and an amazing opportunity for them to up their game. Being a good criminal defense lawyer takes never ending effort. You keep working, trying cases, learning, training, teaching. Rinse and repeat. While it may seem counterintuitive, teaching here in Istanbul will makes Jack better in front of juries in St Paul and beyond.

Jack could say the same for his time in Russia, Republic of Georgia, Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, Tanzania, the International Criminal Court and more. It’s funny how that works but it is absolutely true. When he starts picking a jury in Minneapolis in a few weeks, he will bring all of this back with me but isn’t that the point?

Jack Rice is a former U.S. Federal Agent, former prosecutor, Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist, and founder of Jack Rice Defense. Jack has also been awarded the Minnesota Attorney of the Year for 2021.
