Do No Knock Search Warrants in Minnesota Create More Danger and More Death? A WCCO Appearance

If you talk to the police, they claim that No Knock Search Warrants are designed to secure evidence and to protect the police. However, with the never ending drumbeat about the 2nd Amendment and the right to protect yourself, if the police break down your door, doesn’t this just create the knee-jerk reaction where everybody just starts shooting? If you don’t know it is the police, don’t you have the right to defend yourself? Even worse, do they create the environment where people can become victims when it was never necessary. This is exactly the argument that Amir Locke’s family is arguing right now as the Minneapolis Police Department Swat Team used such a warrant, known down a door and shot and killed him the other night.

Jack Rice appears on WCCO Radio on February 6, 2022 with Jearlyn Steele to discuss search warrants, the Minneapolis Police, and another young man dead. It is a difficult conversation but one that couldn’t be more timely.
