After Chauvin Opening Statements, Jack Talks with KGO San Francisco About What Comes Next.

Read the Newsweek story. In the Derek Chauvin murder trial, the prosecution and the defense have just completed their opening statements. I mentioned previously that the 8 minute 46 second video tape of George Floyd dying in the street on 38th and Chicago in South Minneapolis is the most powerful piece of evidence the State has and they were going to use it early and often.

Jerry Blackwell, the prosecutor in this case, didn’t disappoint and used the entire video during openings. The defense attorney in this case also responded in the way I expected. It was not Derek Chauvin that killed Floyd but rather Floyd’s previous health condition along with the drugs he consumed at the time that really caused his death.

I appear on KGO San Francisco with Nikki Medoro to discuss events. This promises to be challenging and interesting as she will push for analysis on both sides, prosecution and defense and where their arguments fail. This will get very interesting.
