Does the Depp Verdict Mean the End of the Me Too Movement in Minnesota Criminal Courts? Part 1 - Video

Watch Jack’s Interview on Court TV

Me Too is real! There have been an extraordinary number of women who have been mistreated and abused and the system has allowed it in Minnesota and across the country. That being said, there are some who have tried to put themselves in the movement and maybe even tried to become a voice of movement who are opportunists. However, the problems was always the argument that "if they say it, it must be true." The just can't work if we believe in the presumption of innocence. If you are facing serious criminal charges in Minnesota, make sure that you contact an experienced criminal defense attorney.

“Just because somebody makes an allegation doesn’t make it true. This includes domestic assault, sex crimes and other assaults.”

Jack Rice appears on Court TV on 6/2/22 to discuss the the Johnny Depp/Amber heard defamation verdict and its implications. Frequently, big cases are so case specific that they mean nothing for everybody else. This is a little different than that for a lot of reasons.

“Proof beyond a reasonable doubt is the standard in Minnesota criminal cases. This applies in these kinds of cases too.”

If you are charged with sex crimes or domestic assault or other charges, this verdict may impact how the jury sees your case and how they look at evidence. It could potentially mean a lot. If you are charged, make sure you sit down with a Minnesota domestic assault or sex crimes attorney.
