Honored to Speak at the 2023 Indian Law Conference

Absolutely thrilled to speak at the Indian Law Conference on Friday, May 5th. I will be discussing my legal career and the future and where it comes from. This is part of a panel. To be honest, there are plenty of people who have as much or more to say but it truly is an honor. I am a registered member of the Luiseno Tribe in California and it has driven me, sometimes behind the scenes, to be who I am.

We all bring whatever we can to the table. As a lawyer, it is education, training, passion, experience. All of these are true. And yet, it is also everything else that is behind that that frequently drives everything else. My life, world view, my family, my tribe also make me who I am.

For a lot of reasons, this one means a lot to me. Being a Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist, a former prosecutor, a former CIA Officer and a criminal defense attorney for decades comes from somewhere. It really does.
