It’s entitled, Meet the Indigenous Activist Who Toppled Minnesota’s Christopher Columbus Statue: The unauthorized removal of the monument took place during the racial justice protests of summer 2020

An incredible piece in the Smithsonian about our client, Mike Forcia, who was responsible for pulling down the Christopher Columbus statue at the Capitol in St Paul, MN in 2020. It’s certainly worth the read. It’s about history, passion, past harm, current harm and a system struggling, failing and maybe even sometimes succeeding in dealing with all of those things.

Willow Anderson and I represented Mike and we were ultimately able to get it dismissed. Willow and I are truly honored to receive Minnesota Attorneys of the Year in a couple of weeks for this case. We were truly honored to stand with Mike. A career highlight.
