Receiving The Minnesota Attorney of the Year Award is Almost as Good as a Dismissal. Its Even Better With One.

February 17, 2022 was a great night to stand before my legal peers and to be recognized as the Minnesota Attorney of the Year. What meant even more was knowing that we were able to watch a client’s case get dismissed which resulted in that Award. Even more, we watched as the government apologized and acknowledged the harm that has been done to our client’s community in the past and up to the present day. Simply put, that is why we do it. It isn’t the Awards, the glory. It is the dismissals, the apologies, the not guilty verdicts, the settlements, the downward departures, all of it.

“Success depends upon the circumstances. Let’s figure out what success is for you.”

If you are facing criminal charges in Minnesota, whether it is in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Bloomington, or anywhere else, make sure you hire a criminal defense attorney that understands that “a win” depends upon the case and that it may mean a downward departure, a dismissal, a lesser sentence and sometimes even a not guilty verdict. Knowing your options throughout the process allows you to know where you are going and what comes next.
