Sex Crimes Criminal Defense Attorney Jack Rice Appears on Court TV to talk R. Kelly and more.

A jury just found R. Kelly guilty of 9 counts including racketeering with 14 underlying acts including sexual exploitation of a child, kidnapping, bribery and sex trafficking charges as well as 8 counts of violations of the Mann Act, a law involving sex trafficking across state lines. Kelly is facing decades in prison and the sentence promises to be brutal. Of course, he isn’t done as he is facing additional charges in the Northern District of Illinois and in Minnesota. These cases, if convicted, could just increase Kelly’s troubles.

Criminal Sexual Assault cases are some of the most aggressively prosecuted and sentenced of any cases in the criminal justice system. The nature of consecutive sentences, how criminal history points are tallied and something called Hernandizing in Minnesota frequently makes these kinds of case far far worse than any other serious violent crime including murder cases.

Jack Rice, a renowned sex crimes criminal defense attorney, appears on Court TV on Thursday, September 30th from 4-6 p.m. eastern time to discuss what may be coming for R. Kelly and more.
