What Hoops Do I Have to Jump Through to Get My Minnesota Medical Weed Card?

Medical marijuana is legal in Minnesota. And now, medical marijuana has expanded to include smokable marijuana flowers or buds. However, according to the Minnesota Department of Health, in order to participate in the medical weed program, you must jump through a bunch of hoops. If you fail to fulfill all of these obligations, possession of medical marijuana or any marijuana would still be considered a crime.  If you are facing drug related criminal charges, contact Minnesota Drug Lawyer Jack Rice and Jack Rice Defense for a free confidential consultation.

So, What Hoops Do I Have to Jump Through to Get My Medical Weed Card?

4. Your Health Care Practitioner must certify you for the program

5. Once you have been certified by your Health Care Practitioner, you will receive an email from the Office of Medical Cannabis. This email will include a registration link.  Make sure you enroll within 90 days or the certification will expire.

6. You will need proper identification and a debit or credit card in order to cover the registration fees. This is the government after all.

7. Once you receive your approval email, you can visit a Medical Cannabis Dispensary where a pharmacist will review your case and make recommendations. Click here for a list of Dispensaries.

8. In the future and before returning for more medical weed, you will be required to login to your registry account to fill out your self-evaluation form. This is required before each visit to the Medical Cannabis Dispensary.
